Informational only

All content on PVFig — including solar payback, ROI, savings, SREC income, and battery estimates — is provided for general informational purposes only. Figures are estimates based on public 2026 data (EIA, NREL PVWatts, DSIRE, state agencies) and your inputs. They are not a quote, not tax advice, and not financial or legal advice.

Your actual numbers will differ

Actual system cost, production, savings, incentives, and payback depend on your roof, shading, equipment, installer pricing, utility rates, and financing. Incentive programs have budgets and caps that close. Always obtain written quotes from multiple licensed installers and verify current incentive terms with your utility and the administering authority.

Federal tax credit status

The federal residential clean energy credit (Section 25D) expired for systems placed in service after December 31, 2025, under the One Big Beautiful Bill Act. It does not apply to most 2026 homeowner-owned installations. Commercial 48E credit may apply to third-party-owned systems (lease/PPA), but that benefit belongs to the system owner, not the homeowner.

Data currency

We date every figure and update regularly, but laws, rates, SREC prices, and incentive programs change frequently. Verify current figures with primary sources (linked on each page) before making decisions.
