Net metering & export credits
Full-retail 1:1 net metering (no cap). Same New Jersey rules: exports credited 1:1 at retail for systems sized to annual usage; year-end leftover credits are bought at the wholesale rate.
Electricity rates
NJ residential average ~18.5¢/kWh (EIA 2025).
What this means for solar
- JCP&L serves northern and central New Jersey (Monmouth, Ocean, Morris, Passaic, etc.).
- NJ SREC-II payments (~$85/MWh for 15 years) stack on top of net metering.
